Green Initiatives

Committed to environmental sustainability.

Climate change is happening and it affects everyone. Our Earth is warming. Small changes in the average temperature of the planet can translate to large and potentially dangerous shifts in climate and weather.

Hutton Transport knows that we must protect the environment because it is our home, our most important resource for life. And its new truck fleet and fuel-efficient tires can make a difference, by complying with all Canadian and U.S. environmental rules and climate legislation, such as the Ontario’s Environmental Protection Act and U.S. National Ambient Air Quality Standards.

Hutton takes the environment seriously and is dedicated to creating a better future using green technologies, always looking for optimized routes that will increase fuel efficiency, conserve energy, and reduce waste to protect the environment.

Rising fuel costs, a recovering global economy, and changes in supply chain management have affected how trucking companies do business. Hutton is working to achieve a vision of a shipping company that is both profitable and sustainable. The company is making long-term plans for future operating success, protecting and preserving the environment, demonstrating that it can contribute to – and thrive in – a sustainable future. Our industry-leading company effectively and aggressively promotes greenhouse gas reduction strategies, waste reduction and conservation across its daily operations.

Customers are increasingly demanding greener logistics, sustainable business procedures and initiatives, and Hutton takes a lot of pride in making the environment one of the its top priorities, which will not only foster climate protection to save our environment for future generations, but also enhance the profitability of its business.
